LETS GO TO...Chittagong City
Is Chittagong City for you?
Chittagong is the second largest city in Bangladesh and the main international seaport. Chittagong has a rich history as the eastern terminus of the Grand Trunk Road. The old quarter of the city is home to several historic mosques and Sufi shrines, including the Anderkilla Imperial Jame Mosque which was built by the Mughals after they conquered Chittagong in 1666. Given Bangladesh is not a big tourism centre, western tourists can expect to attract the attention of locals particularly those who do not conform to conservative local norms. This will unlikely be malicious, but worth noting. Chittagong City is a unique destination because it's warm, charming and great for the culturally inclined
