Yamba is a coastal town located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The economy of the town is strongly based on fishing and tourism, but recently a number of retirees are making it home, looking for warmer climates. Yamba's attractions include whale watching in the winter months, whilst dolphins are plentiful all year round. Other attractions include Yamba Lighthouse, Story House museum, Yuraygir and Bundjalung National Parks and the surf beach at Angourie. There are also a number of local restaurants and boast cruises available. Popular activities include fishing, surfing, kayaking, bike riding and camping. Yamba is a must-see destination because it's clean, safe and great for adventure junkies
